Charity Run at KGS Hermann Gmeiner

This year's charity run took place in the Hasseler Forest under perfect weather conditions.

The children all gave it their all and ran many laps for a good cause. With the active support of many parents and colleagues, the children surpassed their own expectations and ran significantly more laps than they had originally planned. The stamp cards, the parents stamping them, and the encouragement along the course all contributed to this.

Afterward, parents, together with our school social workers, provided refreshments. Delicious sandwiches, fruit, and vegetables in abundance awaited the children after the run.

The school dog, Poppy, was there too and supported the children as best she could.

By the end, everyone was pretty exhausted but also very proud of their great achievement.

The total proceeds haven’t been calculated yet, but we’ll be donating the funds to our partner, the Eller Adventure Playground. We’ll also use part of the money to buy something great for the children at our school. The Student Council will vote on what that will be.
