Our School Association

As the Friends of the School Association, we help make our children’s and teachers’ school days more colorful and creative. And here’s how we do it…

The school association collects donations and organizes activities for the students. With the money raised, many great projects have been carried out in recent years, such as:

Purchase of colorful benches for the schoolyard
a playhouse, new playground equipment, and vehicles for the schoolyard
Benches in the classrooms
Shoe racks for outdoor shoes outside the classrooms

The school association also supports our school in the areas of learning, culture, and community.

35 additional iPads were purchased for our first graders
The school library was equipped with beanbag chairs, shelves, and a wide variety of books and media
Funded projects for community and positive interaction, such as the "Coolness Training" or "Nonviolent Learning" programs
Cultural events and the “Drum Magic” project week were funded
Support for our regular participation in the art competition DIE KLEINE
On St. Martin’s Day, every class receives a large St. Martin’s bun
Support for the annual Advent afternoon
The association fills the sack of our St. Nicholas, who visits the children every year

In addition, the association provides materials for participation in the Hassels Family Festival and helped finance the monthly “Healthy School Lunch” initiative.

Colorful raised garden beds were also purchased for the schoolyard. Herbs and flowers are planted here.

Currently planned is the purchase of a new piano for our school.
